This is the ONLY TRUE Boonesborough Boogie Nationals Show held at Ft. Boonesborough State Park by the Southern Knights of Central Kentucky.


                                              NEW FOR 2008:

A brand new category just for RAT RODS has been added.  Five awards will be given.

Two extra awards have been added to the Big Kids' Toy (Age 16 & Over) category that will include registered golf carts. Note: golf carts on show grounds should be registered like any other vehicle. 

Also, IF we have 1,000 (or more) registered vehicles, an extra drawing of $500.00 will be held and will include all registered participants.  That's in addition to all the other cash awards . . . Wow!

1980 & up = 25
1979 & down = 100
Motorcycles = 10
Tractors = 5
Rat Rods = 5
Specialty (Age 15 & Under) = 5
Big Kids' Toy (Age 16 & Over) = 5
Lady Rodders = 3
President's Choice = 1 plus 2 event jackets
Memorial = 1
Club Participation = 3
Ronald McDonald Choice = 1
Longest Distance = 1 plus $50.00 cash
Shortest Distance = 1 plus $1.00 for gas


                                             CASH AWARDS:

$500.00 (one drawing for pre-registered participants ONLY).
$500.00 (one drawing for all registered participants ONLY IF we make the 1,000 mark.
$200.00 (one drawing for entries received and postmarked by June 30th ONLY)
$100.00 (five drawings for all registered participants)
$50.00 (one Early Bird Drawing only for those that check in on Friday)
$50.00 (one given along with plaque to the winner of the Longest Distance award)
$1.00 (one given along with plaque to the winner of the Shortest Distance award)
$250.00 (this will be divided amongst the players holding the different winning hands participating in the Poker Run on Friday)


                                               POKER RUN:

The poker run will be on Friday and is FREE.  Participants must line up at 2:30 pm.  The run will start at 3:00 pm.  The following cash awards will be given:  1st Place - $100.00, 2nd Place - $75.00, 3rd Place - $40.00, 4th Place - $25.00 and 5th Place - $10.00.  This breakdown of cash awards is subject to change without prior notice.


                                       DRIVE-THRU JUDGING:

No judging will be done on Friday.  Judging o Saturday is 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and on Sunday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.  All information on judging sheets must be filled out completely prior to entering the judging lanes.  No scores will be given to anyone (not even on your own vehicle).  All judges' decisions are final.

                              PRE-REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

All vehicle pre-registrations of $15.00 includes event t-shirt, dash plaque, goody bag, door prize tickets, appropriate cash award drawing tickets and two tickets to Saturday night supper (by C&D Catering Service).

Day of Show Entry Fee: $20.00

Spectators:  $2.00 each OR $5.00 per carload

Children under 12 FREE

                                   VENDOR INFORMATION:

Vendor Entry Fee:  Pre-Registered:  $20.00 per day; $40.00 per day of show
Pre-Registration for Vendors must be postmarked and received by September 23, 2008

Regular vendor space is 10 ft x 20 ft.  If you have questions or need a larger space, contact Art at 502-863-3960.  Electricity space is available only upon request.

Without vendors the show would be boring. If interested in being a vendor, contact Art Bigelow (amonkeybutte@bellsouth.net) for all the details.


                                     MOTEL INFORMATION:

The following motels are located in Richmond, Kentucky (I-75 at Exit 90 Northbound or Exit 90A Southbound).

                                    CAMPING INFORMATION:

For those that love the outdoors, you can enjoy camping at the park’s campground. The campgrounds offer 167 sites with electricity and water hookups as well as primitive camping sites. A central service building provides showers, restrooms and laundry facilities. From I-75 take Exit 95, go north on KY 627 for 6 miles and then turn right onto KY 388.  The campground is the next left.  From I-64, take Exit 94 onto KY 1958 for 3 miles.  Turn right onto KY 627 and go 8 miles.  Turn left on KY 388 and the campground is the next left.  There is a special seven day minimum for the Boonesborough Boogie Car Show.  Visit Boonesborough State Park website for additional information.


                                    PROCEEDS FROM EVENT:
All proceeds, after club expenses, go to the Ronald McDonald House, Toys for Tots and other charities.

This show is put on to help promote tourism in and for the State of Kentucky.
